Summary:

The Roseville Joint Union High district’s eight listed schools all serve grades 9–12: six comprehensive high schools, one alternative school, and one continuation school. In 2025–2026, their unweighted average proficiency was 59% in English language arts (ELA), 37% in math, and 41% in science, compared with state averages of 49%, 38%, and 36%. The six comprehensive schools averaged above state results in all three subjects, but including the alternative and continuation schools changes the group picture, particularly in math. Most important, the group average hides a very wide spread in results—especially the 64-point range in math.

Granite Bay High led all three subjects, with 79% proficiency in ELA, 67% in math, and 61% in science. It was ahead of the next-highest school, West Park High, by 9 points in ELA, 23 in math, and 4 in science; West Park ranked second in each subject. At the other end, Adelante High (Continuation) had the lowest results: 27% in ELA, 3% in math, and 8% in science. Its results were 20, 17, and 18 points below the next-lowest school, Independence High (Alternative), respectively. Among comprehensive schools, the lowest scorer varies by subject: Antelope High in ELA and Roseville High in math and science.

From 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, the eight-school average rose 3 points in ELA and 2 in math, while science increased 1 point; statewide science rose 3 points, so the schools’ average advantage narrowed. Adelante had the largest ELA gain, up 18 points, but remained well below the group. SchoolDigger rankings also show different trajectories: Granite Bay stayed at the 94th percentile, while Adelante rose from the 6th to the 17th percentile. Low-income figures are free/reduced lunch eligible for 2024–2025: Granite Bay reported 25%, compared with Adelante’s 66%; these figures are context, not an explanation for results. Size and student-teacher ratio do not neatly predict proficiency: West Park had the largest enrollment and a 25.4 ratio, yet ranked second in each subject. Results also differ beyond testing: Granite Bay had the highest graduation rate (98%) and lowest chronic absenteeism (7%), while Adelante had the lowest graduation rate (82%) and highest chronic absenteeism (84%).
