Middle Schools in Lakeside Union

The two middle schools in Lakeside Union serve grades 6–8 and have similar enrollment: Lakeside Middle has 724 students and Tierra del Sol Middle has 713. In 2025–26, the schools’ average proficiency was 44% in ELA, 31% in math and 42% in science, compared with 49%, 38% and 36% statewide. Both schools were above California in science and below it in ELA and math. The clearest area-wide finding is that science is a shared strength, while math is furthest below the state.
