Foresthill Union Elementary

The two schools in Foresthill Union Elementary serve the Foresthill community: Foresthill Elementary serves kindergarten through grade 3 and has 160 students, while Foresthill Divide serves grades 4–8 and has 309. The clearest contrast is in reported All Grades ELA: Divide is at 49.0%, nearly matching the state’s 49.3%, while Elementary is at 22%, 28 points below the state. Because the schools serve different grades, their All Grades results are not a same-grade comparison. The key takeaway is that Divide is much closer to the state in ELA, while Elementary’s reported ELA result is notably lower.

Divide stands out for ELA and science, while Elementary has the higher reported All Grades math rate. Divide’s ELA is just 0.3 point below the state; its seventh graders are stronger still, with 65% compared with 51% statewide, a 14-point advantage. Divide’s two-year trend is mixed: ELA rose from 46% to 49% and nearly caught up with the state, while math fell from 30% to 29% as the state increased, widening Divide’s shortfall from 7 to 10 points. Science was essentially unchanged at 38%, but the state’s increase reduced Divide’s advantage from 5 to 2 points. SchoolDigger’s percentile ranking for Divide moved from 55 to 52 to 63 over the three reported years, a net gain of 8 points. Both schools had a student–teacher ratio of 18.7 in 2024–25. In that school year, free/reduced lunch eligible shares were 40% at Divide and 43% at Elementary. Chronic absenteeism was below the state’s 18% at both schools: 14% at Divide and 16% at Elementary.
