Summary:

The Conejo Valley Unified School District serves four high schools (grades 9-12) in the Thousand Oaks area, with three traditional comprehensive schools and one continuation school, all operating within a district ranked in the 82nd percentile statewide.

Among the comprehensive high schools, Westlake High stands out as the top performer, holding a 5-star rating and the highest graduation rate (97.5%), while Newbury Park High is the largest and also highly ranked. Thousand Oaks High performs well but shows a lower ranking than the other two comprehensive schools. All three maintain graduation rates above the state average and share a common challenge of math proficiency scores lagging significantly behind their strong English scores.

The district's continuation school, Conejo Valley High (Continuation), serves a much smaller, at-risk population with vastly higher per-student funding but faces significant hurdles, evidenced by very high chronic absenteeism and low test scores. Overall, the Conejo Valley Unified district provides strong high school options, with Westlake showing particularly notable improvement in its statewide ranking this year.
