Summary:
The Community Montessori District has one elementary school, Community Montessori, serving kindergarten through eighth grade and enrolling 795 students. In 2025–2026, the school was above California in all three all-grade subjects: ELA was 66% versus 49%, math 46% versus 38%, and science 59% versus 36%. Its strongest state advantage was in science, at 23 points, and its smallest was in math, at 8 points. The most important finding is that the school outperformed the state in every reported all-grade subject.
With only one school, there is no school-to-school leader or laggard; the clearest differences are between grades. Seventh-grade ELA stood out, with 80% proficiency compared with 51% statewide, a 29-point advantage; ELA was above the state in every listed grade, including a 12-point lead in third grade. Math was above the state in four of six listed grades, but sixth and seventh grades were each about 1 point below it. Science was consistently well ahead in the two tested grades: the advantage was 24 points in fifth grade and 25 points in eighth.
Results improved from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026: Community Montessori gained about 4 points in ELA, 2 in math, and 12 in science, while California gained about 0, 1, and 3 points, respectively; the school’s advantages widened by 3, 1, and 9 points. SchoolDigger gives the school four stars and ranks it 1,384th of 5,804 statewide, at the 76th percentile; its reported percentile was 77 in 2023–2024 and 71 in 2024–2025, so the latest rating is near its earlier standing despite rising test scores. The school’s student–teacher ratio was 22.5:1 in 2024–2025, and 18% of students were reported as free/reduced lunch eligible that year.
