Valencia, California, has 13 schools—nine elementary, one middle, and three high schools—serving students from elementary through high school. Among the 12 schools with 2025–26 results, average proficiency was above California’s in English language arts, math, and science: 74%, 66%, and 62%, compared with state averages of 49%, 38%, and 36%. The key takeaway is that strong area-wide results do not mean every school performs equally well, particularly among elementary schools.
West Creek Academy led elementary schools in ELA and math, with 81% and 80% proficient; Tesoro del Valle led elementary science at 79%. Across the same 12 schools, average scores fell from 2024–25 to 2025–26 by 3 percentage points in ELA, 1 in math, and 1 in science, while the average margin above the state narrowed by 3, 2, and 4 points. There were exceptions: West Ranch gained 2 points in ELA and 4 in science, while Tesoro gained 9 points in science. SchoolDigger’s statewide percentile for West Creek was 97 in 2025–26 even though its scores declined in all three subjects. Reported free/reduced-lunch eligibility in school year 2024–25 was 32% at Tesoro and 34% at Bridgeport Elementary, yet their results differed substantially; West Creek also combined a 28.9 student-teacher ratio with leading elementary ELA and math results.
