Travis AFB has two K–5 elementary schools, Scandia Elementary and Travis Elementary, serving 853 students combined. In 2025–2026, the schools’ average proficiency was 49% in English language arts (ELA), 42% in math, and 37% in science; those averages were just below the state in ELA and above it in math and science. The most important finding is that these area-wide averages mask a consistent gap between the two schools: Travis scored higher than Scandia in all three subjects.
