Rincon High School is a 1,109-student school serving grades 8–12 in Tucson’s Tucson Unified District. Graduation is a bright spot: 90% of students graduated in 2024–25, above the district’s 83% and Arizona’s 80%. The most important concern is that current proficiency remains below both district and state levels: in 2025–26, Rincon’s ELA rate was 26% and math was 17%, compared with 29% and 21% in the district and 41% and 33% statewide.

Compared with nearby schools, Rincon’s reported test results are generally low, while graduation stands out positively. For ELA, Rincon’s 26% was higher only than Catalina High School among nearby schools with reported results; Desert Sage High School had 42% and University High School had 96%. Rincon’s 17% in math was above Catalina’s 11% but below University’s 97%; Desert Sage’s math result was not reported.
