Open Quote This school is a poor preforming school. They have a tendency to shuffle around needed areas in order to make themselves look good. My son has an IEP and they try to make changes to it w/o consulting us, the parents, they also dont make their teachers follow it to the letter and outside support is almost nill. My son is supposed to get help to recieve 70% or better in all classses, tests, ect.. but at the end of last year we still got a report card with 3 D's on it showing us that they don't care about the student as much as they say. We also have a 7 yr old daughter that attends she was not getting the needed attention in kindergarten but they still passed her onto the first grade last yr. As she was having difficulting with reading even with lots of coaching at home they still wanted to pass her on to the second grade stating that they would just have to work harder with her this yr. I don't think that is very acceptable behavior for a school. She shouldnt keep moving up grades just to have to catch up more and more each year. Avoid this school as much as possible. The principle will be the big part in the shuffling of your child thru the school system . How he got a principle job i will never know but as of this month we are moving them to a better school.. Arizona has no boundary laws for schools but if you are out of district you will have to transport your kids your self but well worth it in the long run if you want to avoid a bad education from this school. About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
