As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My daughter is a junior at LHHS and I'm very happy with her grades and performance in school. She's active in sports and other activities and she's a national honor society recipient. She's aware that her success is dependent upon her and what effort she puts into her education. I'm sorry for the parent who left the previous comment. That has to be challenging when your child is a special needs student and my heart goes out to the parents and the student in the previous review. Perhaps that parent is expecting the school to do everything for her and her daughter, or perhaps the parent doesn't value education as much as it should be appreciated. Each student can take full advantage of what the school has to offer. No one is denied an education or the ability to participate. And no one is going to hand any child a passing grade when it's undeserving. If the child is a second year senior, then she's been held back because she did not pick up the basic skills necessary to move forward. I don't know the details as to why her daughter was suspended, but the reasons given by that parent seem unrealistic. There have to be other circumstances at play here if the story is even true. Let's call a spade a spade and stop blaming others for our own short-comings. Close Quote

Open Quote All of the administration has a god complex over the students and they try to push the the same on the parents. my daughter was suspended for not being able to find her pencil with in the first 15 min of class which is way over the line. my daughter is a special ed student. this is her second year as a senior and she still cant spell. i checked on her current grades and she has 4 A's and 2 B's. i dont know how this is possible if she cant spell and she dosent know her multiplacation table. this school is just passing her so they can make room for new students . Many students graduate this school without having there basic skills. In my oppinion this school is corrupt. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
