As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote We have loved our experience at CTA Freedom. We moved to AZ four years ago and felt so overwhelmed with how many schools there were to choose from. Open Enrollment can seem so daunting, but with the help of some friends we decided to go with CTA Freedom even though it is a bit of a commute. We love the traditional approach to learning, but even more so the staff has become family for us. The teachers have been wonderful to work on our sons education with. The administration spends quality time learning who my children are and what they need in order to feel like successful learners. My sons have embraced uniform wearing and love the friends they have on campus. I also appreciate the way CTA navigated schoolwork during the pandemic. Very commendable. Our youngest is preparing to go to Kindergarten next year and he can not wait to become a Freedom Falcon. Close Quote

Open Quote This is my daughter’s first year at CTA Freedom. There’s a new principal- Principal Lucas Sheffield and a great many new policies to accommodate students learning in person despite many students still being stuck online with distance learning. I have been nothing short of impressed by the exceptional curriculum and support offered to students and families. Our teacher, Mrs. Nelson is superb. To be honest, CTA isn’t for everyone. Our family is very goal oriented and educationally driven. We do lots of extra elective learning at home and I’m confident that CTA is a great fit because we’re used to rigorous learning. Kindergarteners have approximately one hour of homework a night. My experience, even in a pandemic where parents are excluded from participating in class or going on campus, has been top notch. The staff knows our family by name and I feel confident my daughter isn’t just another student passing through. If you’re on the fence with school choice, take tours (if available) do your research and then ask enrolled families about their experience. If your family is dedicated to maximizing your child’s learning potential and offering the necessary at-home support required to complete homework/projects/etc, this is the school for you. If you’re looking for a more lax experience with fewer educational expectations I would suggest continuing your search. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
