Summary

Inca Elementary School is a public elementary school serving grades PK-8 in Buckeye, Arizona, with an enrollment of 605 students. The school is part of the Buckeye Elementary District, which is ranked 227 out of 289 districts in the state and has a 1-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Inca Elementary consistently underperforms compared to the district and the state of Arizona in standardized test scores across all grade levels and subjects. For example, in 2024-2025, only 18-31% of Inca students were proficient in English Language Arts and Math, compared to 22-46% for the district and 27-42% statewide. The school also has relatively high dropout rates, ranging from 2.5% to 6.1% over the past few years, which are higher than the district and state averages. Additionally, Inca Elementary is consistently ranked in the bottom quartile of Arizona elementary schools, ranking between 689-895 out of over 1,000 schools in recent years, with a 1-2 star rating from SchoolDigger.

While Inca Elementary spends more per student ($9,825 in 2021-2022) compared to the state average, its academic outcomes lag behind. The other elementary schools in the Buckeye Elementary District, such as Buckeye Elementary, Bales Elementary, and Westpark Elementary, generally outperform Inca Elementary on test scores and other metrics, despite being in the same district. This indicates that Inca Elementary may face unique challenges that the district should investigate.

Open Quote There is a lot of racism, nepotism, etc which occur in this district and this school. The staff morale is low. The children are allowed to misbehave and no consequences are given. Teachers receive little to no support in the classroom unless you are favorited by the admin or related to someone in power. This district need to invest in their teachers and hire behavioral specialist to handle children with behaviors. Close Quote
