Harvest Power Community Development Group Inc. has two schools in Yuma County: Harvest Preparatory Academy, serving kindergarten through grade 12, and Harvest Preparatory Academy San Luis AZ, serving kindergarten through grade 8. Together, they enroll 1,643 students. Both schools are below Arizona’s all-grades averages in English language arts (ELA) and math, but the group’s shortfall is larger in ELA: the two-school average is 28% in ELA versus 41% statewide, and 25% in math versus 33% statewide. The most important overall finding is that math is the group’s relatively stronger subject, even though neither school reaches the state average in either subject.
The schools lead in different subjects. Harvest Preparatory Academy has the stronger all-grades ELA result, at 33% proficient compared with 23% at San Luis, a 10-point lead. San Luis has moved up in SchoolDigger’s relative ranking, from the 17th percentile in 2023–24 to the 28th in 2024–25 and 39th in 2025–26. Separately, SchoolDigger gives the district a rank of 208th of 267 in Arizona, at the 22nd percentile and one star; these are district-level figures, not individual school ratings. Harvest Preparatory Academy has the larger enrollment and higher student–teacher ratio—1,068 students and 18.4, versus 575 students and 15.5 at San Luis—but the larger school leads in ELA while the smaller one leads in math. The ranking change does not establish a change in test scores: the available proficiency results do not show a multi-year trend, the state suppressed San Luis’s grade-three ELA and grade-eight math scores, and free/reduced-lunch fields are blank.
