Fairbanks B.E.S.T. is an alternative school in Fairbanks, AK serving roughly 784 students in grades PK–12 within the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District, which currently ranks 14th out of 23 Alaska districts. It is by far the largest alternative program in the district — Alternative Learning Systems, a related alternative school sharing the same Hamilton Avenue address, enrolls just 184 students. Nearby Raven School and Interior Distance Education of Alaska (IDEA) are much larger correspondence-type programs associated with other districts.

Grade-level results from 2025–2026 hint that the transition to secondary grades may be challenging: 5th graders scored well across all subjects, while 9th grade ELA proficiency was just 21.43%.
