Summary

Inglemoor High School is a large, top-ranked public high school serving grades 9-12 to 1,441 students in Kenmore, Washington, as part of the highly-regarded Northshore School District.

The school is a consistent academic leader, ranking 27th in the state with strong test scores that exceed state averages, particularly in science where it outperforms nearby schools like Woodinville High School and Bothell High School. It boasts a 95% graduation rate and has shown remarkable improvement over the last decade. Key differentiators include a lower student-teacher ratio and higher per-student spending compared to many area schools, which correlates with strong outcomes. Notably, Inglemoor provides exceptional support for students in special education, ranking 4th in the state for that population.

While excelling overall, the school's performance shows some variation across different student groups, with effectiveness for economically disadvantaged students being more volatile year-to-year. Within the district, its math scores are slightly below average, while English and science are significant strengths. Compared to peers such as Shorecrest High School and Juanita High School, Inglemoor's combination of consistent high rankings, graduation rates, and targeted support programs makes it a standout choice in an already high-performing region.

Open Quote My daughter graduated from Inglemoor High School in 2011, and was a full time IB student. She received an outstanding education, and felt very prepared (maybe even overly prepared) for college. I feel that the curriculum was well-rounded with classical literature, a strong two-year biology class (which included 60 labs), and a solid math program. She learned to write well, analyze text, write lab reports, and research efficiently. At graduation, the principal addressed the audience with amazing statistics about the graduation class. One statistic that resonated with me was that the average gpa at Inglemoor that year was a 3.5! My exposure to Inglemoor High School is limited to IB, so I can't speak to everything, but my daughter's experience was fantastic. Close Quote
