Open Quote Although the press and websites make it out to be this perfect school, it is not! The teachers are wonderful and truly care. The administration staff... not so much. There is too much of a dictatorship and way too much pressure put on the students. Opinions are not heard and often forgoten about. My advice, do some research and talk to the MIDDLE SCHOOL students because they see and hear it all. The elementary school part is great but once you get to the middle school level, everyone sees the administrations true colors... Close Quote

Open Quote I have been at this school for some time now, I and I can personally assure you all that my time at Porter has been an unforgettable one, for all the right reasons. I have served in the Student government, as Secretary, and Class President 3 times, and have been given the opportunity to collect invaluable feedback from the students via the positions and conclude that they agree 100% with me. From a parent standpoint, the view of a school and it's true internal affairs and functions tend to get skewed and clouded. I do know that among parents, the Principal is not the most popular of people, but why is this? I would rather be here than any other school in the county. Close Quote
