Summary

Table Rock Elementary is a public elementary school located in White City, Oregon, serving 705 students in grades K-5. The school is part of the Eagle Point School District 9, which is ranked 114 out of 140 districts in the state and has a 1-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Table Rock Elementary has consistently ranked in the bottom 20% of Oregon elementary schools over the past 10 years, with a 0-star or 1-star rating from SchoolDigger. The school struggles across various student subgroups, with its Hispanic, White, and Special Education students ranking in the bottom 20-30% of Oregon elementary schools. Proficiency rates in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science are significantly below the state and district averages, with only 10-16% of 5th-grade students meeting or exceeding standards. Additionally, the school has a very high chronic absenteeism rate, ranging from 28.3% to 38.1% over the past few years, well above the state average.

While Table Rock Elementary is part of the Eagle Point School District 9, it significantly underperforms compared to other schools in the district, such as Hillside Elementary and Eagle Rock Elementary School, which have higher statewide rankings, better academic achievement, and lower chronic absenteeism rates. The high percentage of students from low-income families and the school's low ranking within the district suggest that socioeconomic factors may be significantly impacting the academic performance and overall outcomes at Table Rock Elementary, and targeted interventions are needed to address the underlying issues and improve student outcomes.

Open Quote I loved my children's teachers. They were wonderful. Very young and seemed eager to teach and enjoyed their job. That being said, the administrative staff I encountered were not very nice, and were always causing unrest for me as a parent. My daughter went to the office to call me because she was having trouble breathing. They didn't believe her when she told them she had asthma even though it was in her paperwork. They called me and told me my 5 year old wasn't at school when he was. That was terrifying. They put my 7 year old on the bus but not my 5 year old. My daughter arrived 30 minutes after school was let out and I had to call the school about my son, they still hadn't even called me. My son is allergic to fruit candy and it was in all of his paperwork and his teacher was informed. He consistently came home with fruit candy from staff members. The office staff never remembered who my children were or who their teachers were. It was just a nightmare of a year for me as a parent. Glad I was able to get my kids transferred. Close Quote
