Summary

Randolph Elementary School is a public elementary school in Atlanta, Georgia, serving 509 students in grades PK-5. The school is part of the Fulton County School District, which is ranked 47th out of 206 districts in the state.

Randolph Elementary School has consistently underperformed compared to the Fulton County and Georgia state averages on the Milestones Assessment, with significantly lower proficiency rates across all grade levels and subject areas. The school has been ranked in the bottom half of Georgia elementary schools for the past several years, maintaining a 2-star rating from SchoolDigger. Additionally, Randolph Elementary has a 100% free and reduced lunch rate, indicating a high-poverty student population, which is significantly higher than the nearby Cliftondale Elementary (74.42%) and Stonewall Tell Elementary (68.39%) schools.

Despite the school's challenges, Randolph Elementary has had relatively high spending per student, ranging from $10,732 to $11,680 over the past few years. This suggests that there may be opportunities for targeted interventions and support to improve academic outcomes. The nearby Cliftondale Elementary and Stonewall Tell Elementary schools, which are also part of the Fulton County School District, have outperformed Randolph Elementary on the Milestones Assessments, indicating that the challenges faced by Randolph may be partly attributed to factors beyond the school's control, such as the high-poverty community it serves.

Open Quote This school has poor leadership. The current Principal should be replaced with a person with more experience. She seems very inexperienced and have very minimal people skills. She has not done anything to help the children at Randolph since becoming Principal. The test scores has gone down and the teachers are not all that great. The teachers do not communicate enough with the parents about academics....they only communicate about negative behavior. Parent/Teacher conferences almost never happens....only once this school year (October 2016). They care less about the children at Randolph. The parents get no feedback about their children's progress. I guess we will get feedback when it is too late...then it's the parent's fault. Randolph has turned into a horrible school. This school needs a new Principal and the teachers need to be vetted better. Bring in more experienced teachers. Close Quote
