Open Quote I am new to Alpharetta, and my son is new to this school. He goes to Grade 4 here. The teachers and the staff are lovely. However, there's bullying, use of foul language, and bad behavior by students in this school. When things are brought to the notice of the staff, it is addressed, but as no disciplinary action is taken, things do not change or stop. My son just spent close to 3 months here and has faced bullying and racism. Seeing how some students can go unpunished despite doing bad things is disappointing as a parent. Some grade 4/ 5 students are mannerless and fearless and engage in bullying that's poisonous for the school and other good kids. I hope staff can look into such incidents more seriously and take strict action. Close Quote

Open Quote Excellent school for all types of students. Great leadership, wonderful teachers, & extraordinary children make the perfect setting for learning. My child did not LOVE school until he started there. Now he’s a very proud AES Eagle! ❤️ Close Quote

Open Quote My child is in first grade at AES and has an absolutely wonderful teacher, Ms. Mooney. She is patient and focused on making sure all students achieve their best. The administration also includes a new principal and assistant principal who bring a renewed sense of accountability and transparency by actively engaging teachers and parents. I am also involved in the school and PTO, and, although there are parents who have deeper experience at AES, there are also new parents looking to connect. I am sorry for the other reviewer who does not feel a sense of community within the school and the parents and hope they reconsider trying again. Close Quote

Open Quote The school culture/spirit at this school is horrible. I’ve volunteered on numerous occasions and have noticed that the PTO members operate like a clique. They have already formed their groups and do not allow anyone else in. So from my experience they rarely make me feel welcomed as a parent because I am not a member of their “cult.” Overall, the school principal staff and teachers thus far are great and my child does well academically but the PTO and school governance parent representative should lead a better example.
