Open Quote My child has attended Stott for the past 3 years and is currently completing the 2nd grade. The new principal and staff of teachers and faculty are amazing. From Kindergarten forward, my child has been challenged and has excelled with the guidance of her outstanding teachers. The Kindergarten curriculum was challenging and appropriate for ensuring that students were ready to move on to the next grade. Her first grade teacher was amazing and gave her the confidence and knowledge necessary to become an excellent student for the rest of her education. In second grade, she has been given a great blend of reading, writing, arithmetic, science, and art studies. She loves school and all of her teachers at Stott. Close Quote

Open Quote In Kindegarten they expect the child to learn: punctuation, capitalization, sentence structure, nouns and verbs....this was too much for my child who was just trying to learn how to read. On top of this he wasn't allowed recess all day because he "wasn't focusing". The teacher and principal were very defensive and did not have problem resolution skills. On top of this my son has been diagnosed with ADHD by his PA, a Phycologyst and Phyciatrist. The constant changing of stations when the bell rings every ten minutes was over whelming for any child. My son barley got logged into the computer in that time. =) Please consider other schools for Kindegarten. The home work load was atrocious....although, I here it lightens up in 1st grade, we didn't stick around to find out! Close Quote
