Summary

Crystal Hill Elementary is a public elementary school in North Little Rock, Arkansas, serving 470 students in grades PK-5. The school is part of the Pulaski County Special School District, which is ranked 167 out of 250 districts in the state and has a 2-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Crystal Hill Elementary has consistently ranked in the bottom half of Arkansas elementary schools, with only 30.4% of students proficient or better in English Language Arts and just 24.7% proficient in mathematics, significantly below state and district averages. The school's performance in reading and science is also below par. This low academic achievement is likely influenced by the school's extremely high percentage of students eligible for free or reduced-price lunch, ranging from 96.03% to 99.15% over the past three years, indicating a predominantly low-income student population.

While nearby schools like Friendship Aspire Academy North Little Rock Elementary and Oak Grove Elementary also serve low-income communities and have relatively low academic performance, some schools in the Little Rock School District, such as Forest Park Elementary, Fulbright Elementary, and Jefferson Elementary, have significantly higher academic achievement. This suggests that factors beyond just socioeconomic status, such as school leadership, curriculum, and instructional practices, may play a significant role in student outcomes.

Open Quote Don't ssend you child here unless you want them to be bullied. My daughter was bullied all year by a group of boys and the school did nothing to stop it. One boy went as far as to threaten her on Instagram of course they said they would look into it but nothing. This school is basically run by a group of preteen wannabe gangsters, that the so called adminstration has no controll over. I am proud to say that this is my daughters last year at this terrible school and I just wanted to warn other parents. Close Quote
