In 2025–26, Benjamin Franklin Junior High ranked 213th of 643 schools (67th percentile, 3 stars), up from the 60th percentile the year before and the 58th percentile the year before that. It outperformed P J Jacobs Junior High in all six reported proficiency areas, with the widest gaps in 7th-grade math (+14.64 points), 8th-grade social studies (+13.27) and 8th-grade science (+12.72). Its strongest results were social studies 8 at 73.18%, math 7 at 68.66% and science 8 at 62.27%. It was above the district in all six areas and above the state in five; the exception was 8th-grade ELA at 50.45%, below the state's 54.38%. Every listed proficiency rate declined, including 8th-grade math (−9.36), 8th-grade social studies (−7.63) and 8th-grade ELA (−7.13), and the school now trails both the district and the state in all six areas. Its chronic absenteeism rate is 22.1%, versus 18.8% at Benjamin Franklin Junior High, 17.7% districtwide and 17.3% statewide. Both schools report a 0.0% dropout rate, below the district's 0.3% and the state's 1.1%.
