Summary:
United Community Center Inc is a small Wisconsin district with just two schools — Bruce Guadalupe, an elementary-designated school serving grades PK–8, and United Community Center Acosta Middle School, a middle school serving grades 6–8 — together enrolling about 1,552 students in the Milwaukee area. The district is ranked 363 of 432 in Wisconsin, at the 16th percentile with 1 star, and both schools are currently 1-star.
Bruce Guadalupe is the larger school, with 1,364 students (about 88% of district enrollment), and is the relatively stronger performer. Its middle-grade results come close to the state average and beat it in several spots in 2025–26, including 7th grade ELA (58.33 vs 55.33), 7th grade math (59.38 vs 55.67), 8th grade math (59.81 vs 53.67), and 8th grade social studies (65.42 vs 64.63). Its weak point is early elementary: the 3–5 average is about 10 points below state, with 4th grade math at 31.79 versus a state 52.87. Bruce also outperformed Acosta in all eight shared 6–8 comparisons in 2025–26, by roughly 11.9 points on average.
Acosta is the lower-performing school but shows the clearest improvement: its overall simple average rose from 36.47 to 41.94, with 7th grade math jumping from 31.37 to 54.17 and 7th grade ELA rising from 27.45 to 40.28. It still trails the state widely in science (30.36 vs 51.86) and 8th grade social studies (46.43 vs 64.63), and it has higher free/reduced lunch (80.32%), chronic absenteeism (19.4%), and dropout (1.7%) than Bruce. Acosta's smaller classes (student-teacher ratio 11.0 vs 13.7) have not yet produced higher outcomes.
