Rothschild, Wisconsin, has two public elementary schools — Evergreen Elementary (K–5, 450 students) and Rothschild Elementary (PK–5, 408 students) — both part of the D C Everest Area School District, with no middle or high schools located inside the city. Together they enroll 858 students, and both hold 3-star state ratings in 2025–26.
Evergreen is the steadier performer. Its statewide rank improved from 480th of 1061 in 2023–24 to 388th of 1039 in 2025–26 (63rd percentile), and its 2025–26 grade-level results stay in a narrow band from 53.73% to 67.12%, led by 4th-grade science at 63.01% and 3rd-grade math at 67.12%. Rothschild has improved faster, moving from 623rd and 2 stars to 475th and 3 stars, and it owns the highest scores anywhere in this data — 3rd-grade ELA at 72% and 3rd-grade math at 78%.
