Summary:

Kohler, Wisconsin has three public schools — Kohler Elementary (PK–5), Kohler Middle (6–8), and Kohler High (9–12) — all part of the Kohler School District, all sharing one campus at 333 Upper Rd, and together enrolling 747 students. The district is one of the strongest in the state, ranking #8 of 432 Wisconsin districts at the 98th percentile with 5 out of 5 stars, and every individual school also earns a 5-star rating.

Elementary and middle school families are in particularly good hands. Both schools rank in the 99th percentile in 2025–2026: Kohler Middle sits at 7th of 643 middle schools, while Kohler Elementary is 10th of 1,039 elementary schools and has held steady at 9th and 8th in the two prior years. Elementary scores range from 76.12% to 94.34%, and middle school scores range from 81.36% to 92.98%, with every reported test above the state average. Kohler Middle posted big gains in 8th-grade science (74.55% to 92.98%) and 6th-grade math (64.29% to 83.33%), though 7th-grade ELA and math both slipped to 81.36% — still far above state averages. Kohler High remains very strong at 24th of 533 high schools (95th percentile), with a 100% graduation rate and 0.0% dropout rate, but its rank fell from 7th and ACT science dropped from 72.41% to 53.57%.

Operationally, chronic absenteeism ranges from 2.4% to 3.7% across the three schools, compared with 17.3% statewide, and the middle school's 2.4% is the lowest. Free/reduced lunch is 0.89% at the elementary school and 1.65% at the high school; the middle school figure is not reported, so it should be treated as unknown rather than zero. Per-student spending is highest at the high school ($15,283), followed by the elementary school ($13,860) and middle school ($11,990), while student-teacher ratios run from 14.0 at the elementary school to 16.3 at the high school.
