St Matthew School

We knew from the moment we stepped foot in the hallway at St. Matthew School, that it was the right choice. We were looking for a school where our children would be academically challenged, respected, given opportunities to excel and most of all, be part of a community where they would learn to grow into responsible, faithful and respectable citizens. The teaching and administrative staff at St. Matthew School strive to provide the best education they can offer and I see proof of it in the successes I see everyday in my children.

We started our daughter at Kindergarten in St. Matthew when we lived in the Shoreline area and when she was in 3rd grade we moved 7 miles away. She loved the school community and absolutely refused to consider another school. We have never once regretted our decision to stay on at St. Matthew and our children have now been with the school for 13 years. The St. Matthew community is so close knit, so hard working, so willing to help each other out and that sets such a wonderful example for our kids.

St. Matthew’s is a place that when I drop off my children every day, I know they will be safe, they will thrive and they will be treated with kindness and respect. This is a community where everyone looks after each other, parents and teachers support one another and we genuinely want to see each child succeed to their full potential.
If you are looking for a place where you and your child will feel like you belong to a loving and accepting community, this is the place! Our school might be humble on the outside but we are rich on the inside! The halls are filled with diversity, teaching the children to see God in everyone.

We put our daughter at St. Matthew by the recommendation of a family member. We are thrilled with how it is turning out. Our daughter is thriving in the St. Matthew School community We have been here since Kindergarten and have enjoyed all the teachers we have "graduated" from so far and looking forward to the rest of the teachers. The support that the students give each other from Kindergarten up to 8th grade teaches them compassion, empathy, and kindness to one another. We encourage any and all families to tour St. Matthew School and experience the uniqueness of St. Matthew School.

Not only does St. Matthew strive for academic excellence for each student and offers support when needed for each child, but also focuses on the Christian-Catholic principles through their P.R.I.S.M. program: pride in work, respect for others, inclusion of everyone, safety and manners. What is especially wonderful is their diverse community. Growing up an minority, this was an particular area where I wanted my children to feel comfortable and included. Seeing that my daughter is thriving and LOVES school and everyone in it, I know that we made the right choice of schools.
