Open Quote Advertised as a Montessori school but the teachers aren't Montessori certified. All of their certified teachers quit so they had to put in teachers that are really just assistants. The school also has some type of public parking in the middle of the campus. Strangers come through all of the time. Many people also cut through the school as a short cut. I'm not comfortable with strangers wandering around the campus all the time. Close Quote

Open Quote My child attended Evergreen Academy for 4 years. Evergreen Academy is owned by Nobel (corporate entity) Quality of teachers has diminished over the years. Likely due to low pay and being overworked. They now hire young people with no experience which resembles junior high. Lots of gossip, hiring of friends etc. New administration is top down, they treat the teachers, parents, and students with no respect. The curriculum has become mediocre especially for the cost. Basically a glorified kinder care. Math and grammar are especially weak when students transfer into other public or private schools. They don't publish test scores because they are below average. The school doesn't accommodate high performing students or vice versa students with disabilities. (They were sued for it) if you are happy with mediocre and don't complain at all you will do just fine here. if you do complain be prepared to take your children out immediately. They have dismissed (kicked out of the school) many families over the past year. Children are caught in the middle and most certainly their best interest isn't taken into consideration. The school was and has the potential to be a great school but not with the regime that is in place now. Disappointing and shameful..... Close Quote

Open Quote We love Evergreen! We have 3 kids there currently. After going to the Evergreen preschool on the same campus, we used public schools for our eldest for K and 1st. It was a disaster. We pulled that child out and went back to Evergreen for 2nd - 6th. Never looked back. Individual learning plans, small class size, excellent administration and teachers and the teachers have support. Ironic that the tuition is roughly the same that public schools spend per kid yet the educational product Evergreen provides is light years ahead of public schools. We highly recommend Evergreen. We just wish it went through 8th grade. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
