Selah High School is a public grades 9–12 school in Selah, Washington, a Central Washington community near Yakima, serving 1,159 students as the large comprehensive high school in the Selah School District. Its 2025–2026 statewide standing was 351st of 396 Washington high schools, in the 11th percentile and rated one star. That ranking is considerably lower than its 51st percentile in 2020–2021 and 52nd percentile in 2018–2019, although it improved slightly from the previous year.
The school’s strongest indicators are graduation and student persistence. In 2024–2025, 97.7% of students graduated, compared with 92.4% districtwide and 82.6% statewide, while the dropout rate was just 1.1%, versus 5.4% in the Selah School District and 9.8% statewide. Overall, the key question is how the school can preserve its excellent completion results while improving academic readiness, particularly in math, science, and outcomes for economically disadvantaged students.
