Insight School of Washington

Insight School of Washington is a K–12 alternative school in Forks serving 2,841 students in the Quillayute Valley School District, in an area where the district ranks 213th out of 238 Washington districts. The school is much larger than nearby alternatives, including District Run Home School with 42 students and Quileute Tribal School with 87. About 72.16% of students qualified for free or reduced-price lunch in 2024–2025, indicating that the school serves many families facing economic challenges.

The most important concern is student completion. The 2024–2025 graduation rate was 46.6%, compared with 75.0% in the district and 82.6% statewide. Still, it remained below the state’s 50.95%. Compared with District Run Home School, Insight had lower current proficiency in mathematics and slightly lower ELA results, while science results were similar; however, the much smaller school makes direct comparisons less reliable. Families considering Insight should ask about math support, credit recovery, student engagement, graduation planning, and the features behind its stronger science performance.
