Komachin Middle School is a public school in Lacey, Washington, serving about 640 students in grades 6–8 as part of the North Thurston Public Schools district. The school has an 18.8-to-1 student-teacher ratio and serves a relatively diverse community, with 48.75% of students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch in 2024–2025.

Komachin has made encouraging progress. Its latest ranking was 180th of 514 Washington schools, placing it in the 65th percentile—up from the 41st percentile in 2020–2021. It is currently the strongest traditional middle school in its North Thurston comparison group, ahead of Chinook Middle School, Salish Middle School, and Nisqually Middle School.
