Summary

Allen Creek Elementary School is a public PK–6 school in Marysville, Washington, serving 437 students in the Marysville School District. The school has a relatively favorable student-teacher ratio of 15.8:1 and serves a moderately high-need community, with 49.2% of students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch. Its current ranking—836th of 1,138 Washington elementary schools, at the 27th percentile and rated one star—places it below most schools statewide and below most nearby traditional elementary schools.

Academic results are mixed. In 2025–26, Allen Creek’s ELA proficiency was 35.17%, below both the district’s 38.60% and Washington’s 52.81%. Math was a relative strength at 32.41%, above the district’s 28.63% but below the state’s 43.11%. Science was the clearest bright spot: proficiency jumped from 31.08% to 47.76%, exceeding the district’s 36.29% and coming close to the state’s 50.95%. The biggest concern is the upper grades, especially sixth grade, where ELA proficiency was 22.73% and math proficiency was 16.42%; fifth-grade math was also weak at 25.37%. English Language Learners are a notable strength, with the subgroup ranking at the 81st statewide percentile, while the older special education result raises an area for further review.

Allen Creek generally trails nearby Grove Elementary, Cascade Elementary, Sunnyside Elementary, Liberty Elementary, and Kellogg Marsh Elementary School, though it performs better than Pinewood Elementary and far better than Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary. It also falls well short of higher-performing Stevens Creek Elementary and Sunnycrest Elementary School in the Lake Stevens School District. The most promising priorities are extending the science gains to ELA and math, strengthening grades 5–6 instruction, and improving special education support.

Open Quote A wonderful elementary school in Marysville! My two children are very happy to be attending Allen Creek. There is a new principal and the school is very organized and clean, you can immediately see it's managed well. The office staff is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The teachers are wonderful, probably the best teachers in the area. Our family has had only the finest experience here. Close Quote

Open Quote The Principal does not believe in making students accountable for their behavior. He does not believe in having chronic bullies serve consequences for their behavior, nor having any misbehaving student serve any kind of consequence for misbehaviors except for the state mandated ones, like bringing weapons to school. I don't think the school is safe and the staff has low morale. The whole environment feel hostile. Close Quote
