Academically, River View’s clearest relative strength is English Language Arts. In 2025–26, 40.26% of students were proficient in ELA, ahead of Pasco Senior High School, Columbia High School, and Legacy High School, though below Southridge High School and Kennewick High School. Math and science were major concerns: proficiency was 11.54% in math and 14.55% in science, well below state rates and substantially behind Southridge and Kennewick.
