Eatonville School District serves approximately 1,995 students across seven schools in the Eatonville area, with programs covering kindergarten through 12th grade. The district includes three elementary schools, two middle/high-school programs, and two very small specialized programs. The largest schools are Eatonville High School, Eatonville Middle School, and Eatonville Elementary School. Overall, the district ranks near the middle of Washington districts, but results vary considerably from school to school.
Eatonville Elementary School is the strongest all-around traditional school based on the latest test results, with the district’s highest combined performance and especially strong science results. Columbia Crest A-Stem Academy has the lowest overall academic results among the larger schools, despite some bright spots such as third-grade ELA and sixth-grade math; families should look closely at grade-level performance rather than only the schoolwide averages. Education Service District New Beginnings is a very small specialized program with much lower graduation and much higher dropout rates than the district, so it should be evaluated separately from the traditional high school. Eatonville Online Academy enrolls only seven students and has too little reported data for meaningful comparisons. Across the district, math is the most consistent academic challenge, while graduation, high school ELA, elementary science, and recent middle-school improvement are key strengths.
