Battlefield Elementary is a Pre-K–5 school in Fredericksburg, VA, serving 665 students as part of Spotsylvania County Public Schools, a district that ranks in the bottom third of Virginia school divisions. Despite this, Battlefield ranks in the top half of Virginia elementary schools (53rd percentile, 3 stars), a significant jump from the 35th percentile the year before, and it does so while serving a high-need population: 73.4% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

The school's biggest strengths are math and science.
