As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Fair Oaks gets a bad wrap and it is such an amazing school. Our son came from a private school in Hanover. We didn't hear the best things about FOE but after doing the private thing and not be overly happy with that route we thought we would give it a try. My husband and I did our research, spoke to the staff and went on a tour before even discussing with our son. Then we went back and took him after we had made up our minds that this was the best route to go. We LOVE the school! It is much smaller than most elementary schools and the staff is so amazing. So like they say, don't judge a book by its cover b/c this was something we did and our only regret is not starting our son there two years sooner! Close Quote

Open Quote I'm not crazy about this school as I have two children who attend I believe my opinion to be fair and honest. The receptionist are very rude when you call in about any type of matter. Also while the teachers are sweet....I don't feel like they spend time focusing on materials for growth and learning. But rather rushing through to insure that the child pass's enough for not year. I feel like the standards aren't up to the other elementary school in this area. I my best friends daughter attends the other school and comparing them I found that she is doing far more advanced things than my fifth grader and she is only in third grade! I hope that it improves as the teachers atleast the ones my children have had these past two years thus far seem sweet and cooperative. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
