Falls Church City Public Schools

Falls Church City Public Schools is a compact, exceptionally high-performing Virginia district serving about 2,598 students across four schools, including two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school, and it ranks 3rd out of 131 districts in the state.

The district’s flagship is Meridian High School, ranked 14th out of 331 Virginia high schools with a 96th-percentile rating and a 99.5% graduation rate. Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School is equally impressive, ranking 14th out of 416 middle schools; it posts 100% proficiency in Algebra I and Geometry for middle-school students, pointing to a deliberate and highly effective advanced-math pipeline. Oak Street Elementary School (grades 3–5) is strong, ranking in the 88th percentile among elementary schools with reading and math proficiency between 86% and 90%, though 5th-grade science is its weakest subject at 79.8%.
