Summary

Sage Creek School is a public elementary school in Springville, Utah, serving 466 students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Located in the Nebo District, it serves a local area with several nearby elementary-school options. Sage Creek ranks 154th out of 563 Utah schools, placing it in the 73rd percentile with a four-star rating. This is a notable improvement from the 51st percentile in 2023–2024 and places Sage Creek among the stronger schools in its area, although it remains behind nearby Maple Ridge School, which ranks in the 95th percentile.

Recent test results are generally above district and state averages. Sage Creek’s strongest result is third-grade mathematics, with 81.3% of students proficient compared with 50.1% statewide. Mathematics averaged about 63.3% across grades 3–5, ranking behind only Maple Ridge and Hobble Creek School among the nearby schools compared. English language arts averaged about 54.2%, ahead of most local schools except Maple Ridge. Fourth-grade science was another strength at 66.3%, though fifth-grade results were more mixed: 48.7% in ELA, 47.4% in math, and 48.7% in science. These figures suggest that upper-elementary performance, especially in fifth grade, is the clearest area for continued improvement.

School climate and staffing indicators also compare favorably. Chronic absenteeism declined to 20.8% in 2024–2025, below the Nebo District rate of 26.6% and the Utah rate of 23.8%. Sage Creek’s student-teacher ratio is 20.2 to 1, lower than those at nearby Maple Ridge School, Hobble Creek School, and Westside School, though not as low as at Art City School. Overall, Sage Creek appears to be an improving, upper-tier local school with particularly strong early-grade math and solid attendance, while later-grade achievement remains an important opportunity.
