Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy

Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy is a K–8 charter school in Lehi, Utah, serving 489 students in a growing suburban area, with a smaller enrollment and broader grade span than most nearby elementary schools.

Ignite’s 2025–26 statewide ranking was 391st of 563 schools, placing it in the 31st percentile and below every nearby comparison school, including Lehi School, which ranked 297th. The school has improved substantially from the 1st percentile in 2018–19, but its results remain inconsistent. In academics, mathematics is the clearest concern: proficiency was 20.4% in grade 3, 25.0% in grade 5, and under 20% in grade 6. These results were much lower than nearby Eaglecrest School, which reported 81.3% proficiency in grade 3 math, and River Rock School, which reported 74.5%. English language arts also trailed the state average in grades 3 and 5. Science was more uneven: grade 4 was a strength at 67.5%, above the Utah average, while grades 5 and 6 were notably weaker.

Attendance is one of Ignite’s biggest challenges. Chronic absenteeism was 44.6% in 2024–25, nearly twice Utah’s 23.8% rate and higher than reported rates at nearby schools such as Sego Lily School and Fox Hollow School. At the same time, Ignite’s student-teacher ratio improved to 20.5 to 1, better than most nearby schools. Because Ignite serves grades 7–8 and operates separately from the larger Alpine District, comparisons are not perfectly like-for-like. Overall, the most important priorities appear to be improving math instruction, strengthening grade-level consistency, and reducing chronic absenteeism.
