Open Quote For the past year, I have been a member of the Canterbury staff and I have enjoyed every minute of my time here. We do care about each student and we work hard to meet each of their needs in a thought-provoking curriculum. I like that the class sizes are small and I have more time to give to each student. This allows me to help those that maybe working on a new concept or challenging those that have mastered our current lesson. In addition, the students here are not constantly pulled out of class for test preparation nor are they under pressure to perform on any one particular test.

A number of my students are in one or more after school activities and they are involved in the athletic program. In my building, our colleagues are well educated and have multiple years of experience. We work together daily to assist our students as we integrate each subject’s curriculum into our own. Most importantly, our administration and staff work hard to meet the needs of each family. We have an excellent parent organization that is very active and supportive to new families as well as those in need. I am looking forward to enrolling my child into Canterbury when she is old enough for Kindergarten. Close Quote

Open Quote Our son graduated from Canterbury after attending for five years. The investment was worth every penny. At the time of the initial decision, he was not interested in the extracurricular activities that would be available to him in a large public school, and our concerns were academic, social, and spiritual. At Canterbury he had teachers who cared about him as a person and challenged him academically. His musical and sports interests were supported and fostered, and he was able to earn 24 college credits through the AP exams. I highly recommend Canterbury and urge you to visit the beautiful campus and welcoming staff. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
