In response to the 2011 IB results - it is not stated how many pupils actually took the IB. It is easy to say a percentage figure and make it look good - ask the question - how many pupils are actually doing the IB at the British School. If your child has even slight learning difficulties do not go near this school.

Just for information, these are the IB results for 2011 that another parent was waiting to see. I am more than happy with the British School for my children.

The average score achieved by the class of 2011 at the British School of Houston was over 34 points, placing the average BSH student in the top 25% of all IB students worldwide. In addition to this, within the class of 2011, a staggering:

• 20% achieved a score of 40 plus points placing them in the top 5% of IB students in the world
• 40% achieved a score of over 35 points automatically giving them access to top universities throughout the US and the UK
• 85% achieved, or significantly exceeded, the IB world average of 30 points.

a poor example of a private international school.

Change in terms and conditions means there has been a mass exodus of their most experienced teachers this July (2011). Basically married staff can no longer afford to stay. They are being replaced by inexperienced staff, none of whom have taught the IB or even IGCSE before. Watch out for this year's IB results which come out next week - a true test of the new "regime".

Poor leadership, good teachers, poor extra curricular, poor site, not good location for private school.
