As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Main Street Intermediate School (MSI) is pretty much the worst experience my child has ever had. If you want to hold your child every night crying in your arms then by all means enroll. Bullying is WAY out of control and nobody does anything about it other than make excuses for the bullies or (as the assistant principal stated) should learn to be stronger. My child has been choked, pushed, ganged up on, tripped while on crutches and called any and every think you can think of by the kids at this school. The Principal is a joke. It's her 1st year there and I hope her last for the sake of future students coming in. She doesn't respond to emails or calls until you get the superintendent involved. And then its a room full of staff members against you and your kid coercing your child into saying what they want to hear. That's bullying in itself. How is a 10 year old going to feel comfortable about speaking out when confronted with a room full of superiors. It's disgusting! If you schedule a phone meeting with the principal then it's again 2 or 3 people not just a one on one. The staff is unprofessional and catty as can be. Rolling their eyes when you voice concern and talking about the parents and students behind their backs. They take no responsibility for the kids behavior at this school and treat everything like its a joke or a lie and just to shrug it off. Some of the teachers are really great but some are just awful. My child's homeroom teacher literally told the whole class that Thanksgiving isn't a holiday and it's racist to celebrate it so they were not going to be doing any kind of holiday activities during that week. She tells the students that they are not aloud to ask questions about their work, to figure it out amongst themselves. Their whole work schedule is on google classroom and all their assignments. What is the point of having a teacher???? As parents, we are just beside ourselves with how this school operates and deals with student or parent concerns. It's so bad that 10 kids our of my child's class are all moving to different schools next year. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
