As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I am so impressed with what I see every month when I come to volunteer in the Academy 4 program. Yes, some of the things that impress me are related to how well Academy 4 itself is organized. But beyond that, there is a clear commitment on the part of the teachers and staff to create great opportunities for EVERY child to feel included in enrichment activities. The child I mentor clearly thrives there and feels connected to the school she speaks often about how much she loves her school. The first time we met, she asked me, “Have you ever gotten to see our school?” I told her that this was my first time to be there, and she excitedly offered to take me on a tour!

I think that Westcliff is often overshadowed by another school in the district that is very near there, but this is a school that deserves to be praised for taking the children entrusted to them and working as hard as they can to provide an excellent education for every child. Close Quote

Open Quote We absolutely love Westcliff. It feels like a little family and the teachers and school administration care about each and every student and work hard to individualize plans so that they each succeed. Our son is reading at middle school level in 4th grade. While our school performs well in terms of standardized testing, it is NOT the focus. Westcliff focuses on true learning and provides diversity and exposure to unique and specialized learning opportunities and experiences. Close Quote

Open Quote I’m a community member working with the school on a monthly program and I also serve on a committee that brings together people in different roles to fine-tune the school’s performance. I am seriously impressed with Westcliff’s staff and leadership! I’ve learned that the teachers have purpose in everything and it shows in the students. They know every student and share ideas to advance every single one.
The students love the school! They are so well-behaved and encourage each other to be their best.
The faculty loves the school too as it works as a well-oiled team led by the charismatic principal who gets everyone excited for education. Close Quote

Open Quote Westcliff Elementary is a high-performing campus and a wonderful learning environment. School leaders and teachers are supportive and dedicated, providing a nurturing atmosphere with a rigorous program. Teachers and staff go above and beyond in making learning powerful by sponsoring many extra-curricular clubs and activities as well as providing tutoring and academic support. There is no better group of parents and students, with a huge PTA presence boasting 100% staff membership and 235 members! There are award winning teachers and students, a welcoming family atmosphere, and a challenging academic program at this school! Students have a lot of school spirit and are competitive leaders when they move on to middle school. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
