Summary

Dallas Park Elementary is a public elementary school in Fort Worth, Texas, serving 471 students in grades PK-5 and part of the Crowley Independent School District.

Dallas Park Elementary has consistently ranked in the bottom half of Texas elementary schools, with below-average performance on STAAR tests compared to the district and state. For example, in the 2024-2025 school year, the percentage of students proficient or better in STAAR Reading was 34.85% for 3rd grade, 35.87% for 4th grade, and 39.51% for 5th grade, compared to district averages of 39.64%, 36.56%, and 46.02%, and state averages of 52.02%, 53.73%, and 57.83%. The school's performance in STAAR Mathematics and Science follows a similar pattern. Dallas Park Elementary has a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students, at 74.95% in the 2023-2024 school year, and a diverse student population with significant percentages of Hispanic, African American, and White students.

While Dallas Park Elementary's performance is generally below the district and state, it is still better than some nearby schools, such as Mary Harris Elementary, which has consistently ranked in the bottom 5% of Texas elementary schools. This suggests that there may be opportunities to learn from the practices of higher-performing schools within the Crowley Independent School District. The school's inconsistent performance trends and disparities in subgroup performance indicate that targeted interventions and support programs may be necessary to address the unique needs of its diverse student population and improve overall academic outcomes.

Open Quote I absolutely don't like this school. Out of all the teachers they have they only have one good teacher, she is a second grade teacher and is the best. As far as the school, they don't seem to care. I have two that go to the school and I'm looking into transferring them to a different district. I seem to be teaching my third grader at home more then they are teaching him at school. When he comes home he has papers to correct and when we sit down to do them I find that some of his answers are correct. His teacher is just marking them as incorrect. If a parent is thinking about sending their child to this school please look into another school. We have had problems not only with teachers but other students as well. Bulling at this school is ridiculous. Mine gets picked on because he takes his time picking out a book or because he can't jump rope fast. The only good thing about this school is that one teacher. Open Quote Last year was my daughter's first year of school (Sept., 2010, kindergarten) and she loved it. This was her first experience in American schools and her transition was seamless. The teacher provided me with constant feedback; she was accessible and I felt very comfortable with her style and interaction with the kids. The reason I didn't score the school a 5 - I am concerned with how the school administers instruction to the younger children on handling bullying. The kids are told not to "tattle" but at the same time they are instructed to tell an adult if they are picked on by another kid. This can be quite confusing...and was something I had to walk my daughter through. Close Quote
