Summary

La Villita Elementary in Irving, TX, serves 702 students in grades K-5 within the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District (Isd), and has earned a consistent 4-star rating from SchoolDigger for the past decade, placing it in the 82nd to 86th percentile statewide.

This school stands out for its exceptional support of specific student groups. La Villita ranks in the 96th percentile for English Language Learners and the 94th percentile for Gifted and Talented students, both earning 5-star ratings. This is a remarkable achievement, especially compared to nearby schools like Marcus Leadership Academy (24th percentile) and Landry Elementary (29th percentile), which face greater challenges. La Villita also consistently outperforms district and state averages—for example, 4th-grade math proficiency was 63.79% at La Villita versus 50.17% for the district and 49.28% for the state. While it is not as high-performing as nearby Coppell Independent School District (Isd) schools like Valley Ranch Elementary (99th percentile) or the Uplift North Hills Prep Ps charter school (99th percentile), La Villita offers a stable, high-quality option in a neighborhood with extreme educational contrasts.

One area for growth is the performance gap for Hispanic students, where the school ranks in the 17th percentile, suggesting that its strong ELL programs may not fully translate to all students. Overall, La Villita’s stability is a key strength—its rank has not dropped below the 76th percentile in a decade—making it a reliable choice for families seeking a well-rounded school that excels with diverse learners without the extreme competitiveness of top-tier districts.

Open Quote Worst school!!! these so called educators traumatized my child. Their approach to a toddler throwing a tantrum is to lock them in a room and having security intimidated them. FIRST GRADER!!!! do yourself a favor and do not put your child in this awful place. In contrast, we moved ISD and now my child is in the top of his class and entered the gifted program so this tells you my child was not the problem. Close Quote
