Open Quote My children have attended Bob Hope Charter School since its inception. The school is fairly young it has only been active for 3 years, but this school has some great teachers who are all accredited teachers with there license to teach in there certain fields. The principle seems to really care about the children. They get a good quality education without all of the drama a large public school has. The curriculum is the same if not better then any public school system. Although there are only 204 children in the entire school and activities such as sports and other things are limited but they do offer a variety of sports and academic programs. The only complaint I have, well it is not really a complaint but the only issue is I wish there were more of a variety of ethnicity at this school. The school is primarily Hispanic and I want my children to have diversity because I feel the world is very diverse and I want them to be able to socialize with all types of people. If you are considering this school it is well worth it your kids will get a great education. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
