Summary

Treetops School International in Euless, TX, is a small K-12 alternative school serving 343 students as its own single-school district, and it stands out as a high-performing institution that defies the typical alternative school profile.

Treetops achieves perfect graduation and dropout rates (100% and 0% for the last five years) while serving a student population with a very low percentage of economically disadvantaged students (only 7% free/reduced lunch in 2024-2025). This is a stark contrast to nearby alternative schools like Idea Achieve College Preparatory (86.91% free/reduced lunch) and Universal Academy (83.79%). Academically, Treetops consistently outperforms the state average in reading for grades 4-8, with 7th graders achieving a 95.83% proficiency rate in 2023-2024 compared to the state's 52.08%. In high school, the school excels on End-of-Course exams, significantly outperforming the state in Biology (91.67% vs. 62.04%) and English I (88% vs. 51.26%) in 2024-2025, making it comparable to the high-performing Carroll High School in these subjects. However, math scores show some volatility, particularly in lower grades, which is a potential area for parents to monitor.

Treetops achieves these outstanding results with a per-student spending of $8,301, which is significantly lower than other nearby alternative schools like Idea Achieve College Preparatory ($14,915) and Trinity Leadership ($12,823), indicating a highly efficient use of resources. The school's low student-to-teacher ratio of 12:1 likely contributes to its strong performance. Overall, Treetops School International appears to be a school of choice for motivated families, offering a unique blend of high academic achievement, perfect graduation rates, and efficient operations within the Treetops School International district.

Open Quote I taught at Treetops for two years. I have since moved away from Texas and I miss the school and the administration a lot. I took for granted how much they care for their teachers and students.
I miss the smiles and love that the school has running through it.
It is not the school for every child, nor for that matter, every teacher. It is a place where you can feel acceptance and still learn at the same time. I think that is a pretty good combination. Close Quote
