Open Quote I am a college teacher that has worked with St. Mary's students, and they have an excellent preparation for college -- they are disciplined, well-educated, and hard-working. Close Quote

Open Quote Having graduated from St. Mary's after attending for 12 years, I can honestly not imagine a better community to have grown up in. Everyone from the teachers and counselors to the administrators and even the cleaning staff was incredibly supportive. Not only did I receive a first class education (and got into a top college) but I also gained a second family from my years at SMS. Close Quote

Open Quote This school was a nightmare for me and many other girls I know. There were multiple occasions where teachers were actually verbally abusive toward me as well as toward my classmates. The curriculum is unnecessarily demanding, particularly for the younger girls. I went there for 12 years and would not recommend it because of the unreal amount of pressure exerted onto the students here. I am in college now and still recalling my horrible experience at this school almost a decade later. Do not put your child through this kind of pressure. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
