Chapman's Retreat Elementary consistently ranks in the top 20% of Tennessee elementary schools, with impressive performance on TNReady assessments. The school's 70.5% proficiency rate in Mathematics and 57.1% in English Language Arts for the 2024-2025 school year significantly outperform the state averages of 42.2% and 38.9%, respectively. While the school's performance is slightly lower than the Williamson County district average, it still excels in Mathematics, ranking in the top 10% for its male students and the top 20% for its Hispanic student population.

However, the school has seen a concerning increase in chronic absenteeism, rising from 5.5% in 2020-2021 to 20.2% in 2022-2023, significantly higher than the district average of 8.6%. Additionally, the school's performance for its African American and special education student populations is in the middle to lower range of Tennessee elementary schools, suggesting a need to focus on improving educational outcomes and support for these groups. Overall, Chapman's Retreat Elementary is a high-performing school, but it must address the rising chronic absenteeism and ensure equity and inclusion for all its students.

Open Quote My son attends Kindergarten here. Learning is rigorous, challenging, and engaging. My son is very bright and I was so afraid that he'd be bored, but his teacher adapts to his needs and continues to keep him challenged. We appreciate the hard work and dedication of the teachers and staff at this school. My husband and I are confident that our son is receiving the very best education available to him. Close Quote

Open Quote My son is enrolled in Kindergarten at Chapman's Retreat this year. He is thriving socially, reading on a 3rd grade level, and is excited everyday to come home and talk about what he learned. He LOVES his teacher and loves going to school. My anxiety of sending my little boy to school quickly disappeared as I fell in love with the school and the teachers. Close Quote
