The school has made a strong comeback over the past few years, climbing to the 74th percentile statewide with a 4-star rating in 2025–2026 — the highest ranking among all PK–8 schools in its district. It also stands out for doing more with less: at $11,157 per student, Pin Oak has the lowest spending of any nearby elementary school, yet it still outperforms the state average in math, English language arts, science, and social studies.
