Giles County High School is a public high school in Pulaski, TN, serving grades 9–12 with an enrollment of 688 students. Part of the Giles County Schools district, the school currently ranks 303rd out of 400 Tennessee high schools (24th percentile, 1 star) for 2025–2026 — a slight improvement from the prior year's 318th-place finish, but still in the lower quarter of the state. This makes it the lowest-ranked school among nearby comparable schools. Richland School, also in Giles County and roughly 10 miles away, ranks 136th (66th percentile, 3 stars), while Lawrence County High School ranks 62nd (84th percentile, 4 stars) and Cornersville School ranks 218th (45th percentile, 2 stars).

Academic proficiency is the school's biggest challenge. In 2025–2026 TNReady testing, only 9.9% of Giles County students were proficient in Algebra I, compared to 32.3% statewide — a gap of more than 22 points. Geometry proficiency was 21.1% versus 42.3% statewide, and US History proficiency was just 12.5% versus 42.4% statewide. English II was the school's relative strength, with 46.9% proficient, but that still trails the state rate of 58.1%. In every tested subject, Giles County High School trails both the state and Richland School, often by wide margins.
